NEW YORK, NY -- A who’s who of the world’s top professional snowboarders, including defending champ Eddie Wall, Pat Moore, and Lukas Magoon, are set to compete head-to-head for a prize purse of $30,000 at the Jeep® Union Square Street Sessions professional snowboarding rail jam competition in New York City’s Union Square on Thursday, February 7, 2008 from 5-9 pm ET.

This year, the 40' customized urban rail will have a 2008 Jeep Wrangler built right into it, so competitors will actually ride over the Jeep.
In addition to watching airborne snowboarders silhouetted before the NYC skyline, attendees can also visit the action sports block party at Union Square from 3-6 pm for athlete autograph sessions, free giveaways and product demonstrations. The event sponsors include: Jeep, Burton, Oakley, Red Bull, Mountain Creek Resort and Sunday River Resort. For more information, go to www.StreetSessionsNYC.com.
Presented in partnership with New York City Parks and Recreation and the New York City Sports Commission, the event serves as a prelude to the NYC Parks & Recreation’s Winter Jam, a pro/am rail jam and winter carnival with snowshoeing and cross country skiing held in Central Park on Saturday, February 9.
